Dominican hires Walenga for Men's and Women's Volleyball
RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- The Dominican University Department of Athletics and Recreation hired Tim Walenga for the position of Head Men's and Women's Volleyball Coach and Coordinator of Intramurals and Club Sports.

Walenga comes to Dominican with nine years of coaching experience at both the collegiate and club levels. He comes to Dominican University after two years at Southern Illinois University where he served as the first assistant. His other college coaching stops include Marshall University, Elon University, Minnesota State University and South Suburban College in South Holland, IL.

A 1995 graduate of Illinois State University, Walenga competed with the Illinois State University men's club volleyball team from 1991-1995. In 2000, he received a master's degree from Minnesota State University in physical education with an emphasis in athletic administration where he again competed as a member of the university's men's club volleyball team.

“I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to travel the country coaching volleyball and can honestly say that there is not another city as special as Chicago,” said Walenga.
