NAC soccer tournaments kick off Saturday
VERONA, Wis. -- The Northern Athletics Conference soccer teams are ready for the NAC men's and women's soccer tournaments, which kick off this Saturday, October 28. Four first round games will be played this Saturday, to determine who enters the semifinals in the six team tournaments.

Men's Tournament
#3 Concordia University Wisconsin vs. #6 Wisconsin Lutheran College
The Falcons of Concordia Wisconsin (11-4-4, 6-3 NAC), will technically be the hosts of the game, but due to poor field conditions, it will be played at Wisconsin Lutheran College. Game time is scheduled for 3:00pm at Warrior Field in Milwaukee. The Falcons defeated WLC (7-9-1, 4-4-1) 2-0 on October 7. The Falcons out shot the Warriors 17-4 in the conference match.

#4 Edgewood College vs. #5 Benedictine University
Edgewood College (10-4-2, 6-3) will host Benedictine University (7-7-4, 4-3-2) in the battle of the Eagles at Breese Stevens Field in Madison. Though out shot 11-8 at Benedictine on October 4, Edgewood came out victorious with a 2-0 victory.

#1 Dominican University, #2 Aurora University, first round byes
The Dominican University Stars, ranked No. 10 in D3Kicks.com Top 25 poll, claimed the No. 1 seed in the tournament by winning the inaugural Northern Athletics Conference championship with a perfect 9-0 record (17-1 overall).

Aurora University (12-3-4, 8-1) lost only one conference game, to Dominican, and have outscored their opponents 47-24 this season. The Spartans are currently ranked No. 7 in the most recent NCAA Division III Central Region poll.

Semifinal games are scheduled for Wednesday, November 1 at 1:30pm. Dominican will host the lowest remaining seed in River Forest on the Dominican University Campus. Aurora will host the highest remaining seed on the Aurora University Campus.

Women's Tournament
#3 Concordia University Wisconsin vs. #6 Benedictine University
The Falcons (10-8, 9-2 NAC) will host the Eagles of Benedictine University (7-11-1, 5-6) at Wisconsin Lutheran College's Warrior Field, due to poor field conditions. Kick off is scheduled for 5:30pm. Concordia Wisconsin defeated the Eagles 1-0 on September 30 in Mequon, where they out shot Benedictine 22-2.

#4 Dominican University vs. #5 Lakeland College
Dominican (11-4-2, 8-3) hosts Lakeland (10-7-1, 7-3-1) at 1:30pm in River Forest in a rematch of last Saturday's double-overtime thriller. Lakeland defeated the Stars, 2-1, at Lakeland.

#1 Aurora University, #2 Edgewood College, first round byes
Aurora University finished the conference season with a perfect 11-0 record, earning them a conference championship and the No. 1 seed in the NAC tournament. The Spartans (15-3-2) are ranked No. 9 in the NCAA Division III Central Region poll, released October 25.

Edgewood College (12-4, 9-2) claimed the No. 2 seed by virtue of a tie-breaker, defeating Concordia University Wisconsin, 2-1 in their only head-to-head match. The Eagles have won seven straight, and their offense ranks fifth best in the nation, averaging 4.64 goals per game.

Semifinal games are scheduled for Tuesday, October 31. Aurora will host the lowest remaining seed on the Aurora University Campus at 1:30pm. Edgewood will host the highest remaining seed at Breese Stevens Field in Madison at 7:00pm.

Northern Athletics Conference tournament finals are tentatively scheduled for Saturday, November 4 at the highest remaining seeds. Yet the dates, venues and times finals are subject to change based on the teams participating to best meet the needs of the institutions involved.
