Aurora University wins both NAC Cross Country Championships
LISLE, Ill. -- Aurora University won both the men's and the women's Northern Athletics Conference cross country championships today at Lisle Community Park.

The Aurora men's team placed all seven runners in the top 20, and three in the top ten to finish with a team score of 50, seven points better than runner-up Concordia University Wisconsin.

Concordia Wisconsin's Micah Lorenzen (Pipestone, Minn.) won the men's 8K race with a time of 26:45.4, just in front of teammate Dave Hoenbrink (Mayer, Minn.) who finished at 27:35.1. The top rookie finisher was Matt Lindgren (Oak Forest, Ill.) with a time of 28:19.1, good for a seventh place finish. James Kluckhohn was named NAC Coach of the Year for leading Aurora to the conference title.

The Spartan women's team won by virtue of a tie-breaker, after tying Concordia University Wisconsin with a score of 45. Aurora's sixth runner finished 30th, while Concordia's finished 32nd.

Aurora's Fran Sikorski (Lombard, Ill.) edged out Edgewood College's Carlie Wagner (Waunakee, Wis.) to win by 1.3 seconds, finishing with a time of 24:22.1. Aurora's Morgan Jacquette (Grayslake, Ill.) finished in sixth place with a time of 25:25.5 finishing with the top rookie time. James Kluckhohn was named NAC Women's Coach of the Year as well.
