Northern Athletics Conference
women's volleyball awards announced Aurora University's Sarah Campbell, a senior outside hitter from Lake Villa, Ill. (Grayslake), was named NAC Player of the Year. Campbell helped lead the Spartans (19-13, 11-0 NAC) to the Northern Athletics Conference championship. Campbell led the NAC in kills (4.45/conference game), was fifth in hitting percentage (.306) and ninth in digs (4.88/conference game). Katie Roessler of Concordia University Wisconsin was named NAC Rookie of the Year. The freshman middle hitter from Wauwatosa, Wis. (West) was sixth in the NAC in blocks (1.17/conference game), seventh in kills (3.33/conference game) and tenth in hitting percentage (.287). Aurora University's Jerry Angle was named NAC Coach of the Year. In the conference's inaugural season of competition, Angle's Spartans ran the table in conference matches going a perfect 11-0, earning the No. 1 seed in the inaugural Northern Athletics Conference women's volleyball tournament.
