Laete reaches 1,000 career points
MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Junior forward Emily Laete (Spokane, Wash./Evergreen Lutheran) became the ninth player in Wisconsin Lutheran College women’s basketball history to reach 1,000 career points as the Warriors doused the Alverno College Inferno 84-48 on Wednesday night at the Recreation Complex.

Laete scored 21 points on 8-15 shooting from the floor in 24 minutes of action to put her at 1,000 points even for her career. Her milestone bucket came at the 16:42 mark in the second half when she grabbed a rebound on the offensive glass and scored on a lay-up. Laete leads Wisconsin Lutheran (9-5, 7-1 NAC) averaging 18.1 points per game.
