Aurora University tabbed preseason favorite by NAC baseball coaches
VERONA, Wis. -- Aurora University received 9 of the 11 first place votes in the Northern Athletics Conference baseball coaches' preseason poll, and was picked to win the inaugural NAC title this upcoming season. Edgewood College was picked second, and Concordia University Chicago was chosen third.

The Aurora University Spartans (34-14) made it to the finals of the Division III NCAA Championship last season after winning the St. Louis Regional. The Spartans are also ranked #22 in the American Baseball Coaches Association/Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division III Baseball preseason poll.

Edgewood College finished 28-13 last season winning the championship in the former Lake Michigan Conference. The Eagles won seven of eight games to finish up the 2006 campaign, losing in the LMC tournament semifinals to Dominican University.

The Cougars of Concordia University Chicago ended last season on a high note winning the conference tournament of the former Northern Illinois-Iowa Conference. The Cougars (23-20) finished last season on a three-game win streak, and won eight of their last ten games.
