Isaac receives NCBWA honorable mention honors
VERONA, Wis. -- Brandon Isaac of Concordia University Chicago has been named Honorable Mention Division III National Hitter of the Week as chosen by representatives of the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association for the week of March 5-March 11, 2007.

Isaac, a freshman outfielder/first baseman from Matteson, Ill., helped the Cougars to a 5-2 record last week as he hit .448 (13-of-29), scoring 11 runs, driving in 12 and striking out only twice. His 13 hits included a double and 4 homers (tying him for the team lead), and his slugging percentage was a robust .897. Isaac was also 2-for-2 in stolen bases. Isaac was the Northern Athletics Conference Co-Player of the Week.

Pete Moore of Moravian College was named National Hitter of the Week and Lee Boyse of Coe College was named Nation Pitcher of the Week as chosen by representatives of the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
