All-Northern Athletics Conference Softball Team announced
VERONA, Wis. -- The Northern Athletics Conference has released its softball All-Conference awards for the 2007 season. All awards are voted on by the head coaches of the NAC.

Lakeland College's Sara Roberts (Escanaba, Mich.) was named NAC Rookie of the Year. The freshman pitcher compiled a 19-7 record and 1.67 ERA in 29 appearances. She pitched a perfect game and two additional no-hitters in her debut season.

Aurora University's Dana Cebular (Brookfield, Ill.) was selected NAC Player of the Year. The junior led the conference in hitting with a .483 average, which included 10 homeruns and 38 RBI. She also led the NAC in slugging percentage (.897), runs scored (60), and hits (70).

Mike McKenzie was named Northern Athletics Conference Coach of the Year. McKenzie guided Aurora to a near perfect 21-1 conference record and a 35-8 overall mark. The Spartans captured both the regular season and tournament championships in the NAC's inaugural season.
