Northern Athletics Conference announces All-Conference Baseball Team
VERONA, Wis. -- The Northern Athletics Conference has released its baseball All-Conference awards for the 2007 season. All awards are voted on by the head coaches of the NAC.

Rockford College's Fabian Gomez (Las Cruces, N.M.) was named Northern Athletics Conference Player of the Year. The junior southpaw compiled a 1.93 ERA and a perfect 8-0 record in 14 appearances. Gomez tallied 123 strikeouts on the season while holding his opponents to an average of .174.

Concordia University Wisconsin's Alex Tomter (Brookfield, Wis.) was selected as NAC Rookie of the Year. The right-hander assembled a 8-1 record in 12 appearances. Tomter also had a 3.62 ERA in his debut season.

Bob Koopmann was named Northern Athletics Conference Coach of the Year. Koopmann led the Regents of Rockford College to both the regular season and tournament titles in the NAC. Rockford (29-12, 16-4 NAC) set a new school record for wins in Koopmann's first season with the program.
