Rockford names Green men's
soccer coach “Wicky brings a wealth of knowledge and contacts to our men’s program,” Espensen said after the announcement. “Rockford College has a long tradition of success in men’s soccer. We have faith that Wicky can point our program back in the right direction and make strides to reestablish our tradition of excellence.” A native of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, Green came to Rockford College after graduating from Long Island (NY) University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Science, with a concentration in Coaching and Conditioning. While at LIU, Green acted as an intern-assistant coach for the men’s soccer team.Green brings over 35 years of soccer experience, as a player and coach, to the Regents sideline. Green has a Class D coaching license from the United States Soccer Federation. Green currently resides in Rockford, where he is pursuing a Masters Degree in Teaching. .
