Edgewood favorite to win NAC men's golf title
VERONA, Wis. -- Edgewood College has been picked to win the 2007 Northern Athletics Conference Men's Golf Championship according to the coaches' preseason poll.

Edgewood won the inaugural NAC Championship last season by 52 stroke margin for the two day event. The Eagles tallied seven first place votes in the preseason poll and a total of 77 points.

MSOE, a new member of the Northern Athletics Conference, received one first place vote and totaled 65 points in the poll. The Raiders are tabbed for a second place finish.

Aurora University received the remaining first place vote and totaled just one point less than MSOE for third place in the poll. The Spartans were in second place after day one of last year's NAC Championship, but only had three golfers finish the event so the team failed to place in the event.

The 2007 Northern Athletics Conference Men's Golf Championship will take place at Whistling Straights, The Irish Course in Kohler, Wis. on October 15 and 16. The 2007-08 season will then conclude at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship, May 13-16 at a site to be determined.
