MSOE men,
CUW women crowned new NAC Cross Country champions The MSOE men's team placed all seven runners in the top 25, including five in the top 20. The Raiders' team score of 51 was 25 points better than runner up Concordia University Wisconsin. Last season's champions, Aurora University, finished in third with 83 points. Concordia Wisconsin's Micah Lorenzen (Pipestone, Minn.) won the men's 8K race with a time of 25:32.5, in front of Wisconsin Lutheran College's Zach Shiels (Johnson Creek, Wis.) who finished at 26:06.3. Lorenzen, who also placed first at last year's championship, was named the Northern Athletics Conference Men's Runner of the Year for the second straight season. Edgewood College's Andrew Garvey (McFarland, Wis.) was named Men's Rookie of the Year and finished with a time of 27:31.8 for a seventh place finish. MSOE's Larry Gardner was named Men's Coach of the Year. Concordia University Wisconsin's women's team placed four runners in the top ten to total 47 team points. Aurora University finished second with 80 points. Last season, CUW lost the conference championship by virtue of a tie-breaker, after tying Aurora with a score of 45. Aurora's sixth runner finished 30th, while Concordia's finished 32nd. Aurora's Morgan Jacquette (Grayslake, Ill.) placed first with a time of 23:21.3 in the 6K race and was named the Northern Athletics Conference Women's Runner of the Year. Alverno College's Sarah Olson (Oconomowoc, Wis.) finished fourth with a time of 24:24.4 and was named Women's Rookie of the Year. CUW's Russ DeLap was named Women's Coach of the Year.
