Rockford's Butler hits 1,000-point scoring mark
ROCKFORD
, Ill. -- Rockford College's senior forward, Angie Butler (Forreston, IL/Forreston) became the 9th women's player to reach the 1,000 career point mark in the Regents' thrilling 63-60 win against Dominican University Thursday night. Butler's 18 points, including the game winning layup with :18 seconds, gave the Regents' (3-2, 1-0 NAC) their first conference win.

Butler has appeared in 85 games in her Rockford College career and has amassed 1,011 career points, 474 rebounds, 108 assists, 49 blocks and 107 steals. Her performance against the Stars on Thursday lists her as the 9th player in school history to join the 1,000 point club. The single-season school record holder for field goal percentage (2004-05) needs just 26 rebounds to reach the 500 rebound milestone and would make her 1 of 6 Rockford women's basketball players to reach the 1,000 point, 500 rebound threshold.
