Goff reaches career milestone
of 1000 points
WATERTOWN,
Wis. --
Maranatha's senior center, Colleen Goff was recognized on Monday for
her accomplishment of reaching a milestone of 1000 career points as
a Maranatha Crusader. On November 16, 2007, while playing Grace
Bible College at the NCCAA Tip-Off Tournament hosted by Kuyper
College of Grand Rapids, MI, Colleen Goff scored her 1000th career
point!
This career milestone has lifted Colleen as the #4 ALL-TIME scorer
in Maranatha women’s basketball. To date, Colleen has scored 1243
points in her career. In additional to her scoring ability, Colleen
either holds the school record, or is near the top in the following
categories.
#4 in scoring with 1243 points
#3 in field goals made with 513
#3 in minutes average with 30.7 minutes per game
#2 in steals with 141
#1 in rebounds with 922
#1 in rebounding average with 9.4 rebounds per game
#1 in blocked shots with 105
#1 in block average with 1.1 blocked shots per game
#1 in games started with 96
#1 in minutes played with 3006
Goff was presented with a game ball, commemorating her milestone as
a member of the Maranatha Crusaders. The presentation was made
during the halftime of the men’s game against Northland. Earlier in
the evening, Goff led the Crusader women to a decisive win over the
Pioneers, 66-50. The presentation was made by Maranatha Baptist
Bible College’s Athletic Director, Mr. Rob Thompson and Maranatha’s
Women’s Head Coach Clayton Morrison. Goff’s teammates also presented
College with a bouquet of roses.
The game ball award to Goff is noted with the date, the opponent,
the milestone achieved and Colleen’s statistical achievements during
the contest.
