"Think Pink" on Saturday with the Eagle women's basketball team
MADISON, Wis. -- The Edgewood College women's basketball program, in conjunction with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), is proud to sponsor "Think Pink Day" at the Todd Wehr Edgedome on Saturday, February 9. The Eagles will be facing Wisconsin Lutheran College at 2 p.m.

The WBCA's "Think Pink" initiative is a global, unified effort for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. The WBCA began "Think Pink" in 2007 as an initiative to raise breast cancer awareness in women's basketball, on campuses and in communities. In 2008, more than 800 schools will unify for this effort and help make the second year of the WBCA's "Think Pink" campaign a success.

The Edgewood College women's basketball team will be wearing pink stripes on their shoes. All fans attending the game are encouraged to show their support of the fight against breast cancer by wearing something pink. Edgewood College's Sports Marketing Association will be on hand to distribute pink breast cancer awareness wrist bands and informational material to all fans in attendance. Additionally, proceeds from the game will benefit the Kay Yow/WBCA Breast Cancer Fund.

Join the Edgewood College women's basketball team on Saturday at the Todd Wehr Edgedome and contribute to the fight against breast cancer.
