"Think Pink" on senior day The WBCA's "Think Pink" initiative is a global, unified effort for the WBCA's nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. The WBCA began "Think Pink" in 2007 as an initiative to raise awareness for breast cancer in women's basketball, on campuses, and in communities. In 2008, nearly 1,000 teams are joining forces to make the 2008 campaign a success. The Rockford College women's and men's basketball teams will wear "Think Pink" t-shirts during warm-ups. All Rockford College game staff will be wearing the same t-shirts. Officials for both games are also joining NCAA officials around the country in using pink whistles for games during the initiative. All fans attending the game are asked to wear pink to show their support for the fight against breast cancer. "Think Pink" t-shirts and pink breast cancer awareness wristbands will be available for purchase. Donations from the Rockford Health System along with proceeds from ticket and merchandise sales at the game will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Join the Rockford College basketball teams on Saturday, February 16 at Seaver Gym on the Rockford College campus and help fight breast cancer.
