CUW claims second consecutive NAC Men's
Tennis Championship The Falcons won three of the nine individual championships, and additionally placed second in three, posting a team score of 51 points. MSOE tallied 45 team points, winning four individual championships at the two-day event. Marian College rounded out the top three teams with 42 points for a third place finish. Dominican University finished in fourth place with 27 points, followed by Concordia University Chicago (20 points), Lakeland College (8 points), Rockford College (7 points) and Aurora University (2.5 points). Lakeland College's Andre Glass (Kenosha, Wis.) was named the Northern Athletics Conference Player of the Year following the 2008 Championship. Glass, last year's NAC Rookie of the Year, was a perfect 7-0 at No. 1 Singles in NAC regular season duals. The sophomore also won the championship at No. 1 Singles at the NAC Championship this weekend. Marian's Rob Ogden (Gurnee, Ill.) was named NAC Rookie of the Year. The freshman finished the NAC regular season with a 6-1 record at No. 2 Singles and also won the event at the NAC Championship. In doubles play he went 6-1 at No. 1 Doubles in the NAC regular season and took second at the Championship. Concordia University Wisconsin's Tom Weber was named the Northern Athletics Conference Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season. Weber coached the Falcons to a perfect 7-0 record in NAC duals this season (11-17 overall) before claiming the NAC Men's Tennis Championship for the second straight season as well.
