Spartan cross country-track and field student-athlete named ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District
AURORA, Ill. -- Aurora University Spartan cross country and track and field sophomore standout Morgan Jacquette (Grayslake, IL/Grayslake H.S.) was named to the ESPN the Magazine District V Academic All-District Team.

To be considered for the honor, the nominated student-athletes are required to maintain a minimum 3.20 cumulative grade point average throughout their academic career at AU. Jacquette was named to the Second-Team.

Jacquette, an elementary education and Spanish double major at AU, was honored for her academic success as a student-athlete. On the course and track, Jacquette has been a dominant force in her short time as a Spartan.

In her second season at AU, she was named Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) Runner of the Year in Cross Country, NAC Track Athlete of the Meet at both the NAC Indoor and Outdoor Championships, NAC All-Conference in Cross Country and Track and Field, AU MVP in both sports, United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic, NAC Scholar-Athlete and set numerous women’s track records and holds the 6K record in cross country.

The ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District teams are selected by CoSIDA member Sports Information Directors within the district based on the student-athletes’ academic prowess while being a steady influence on their respective athletic field.
