Herrmann chosen as head coach of WLC's women's soccer team Herrmann, who transferred to Wisconsin Lutheran after redshirting his freshman season (1999) at Carthage College, was a four-year letterwinner (2000-03) as a member of the men's soccer team at WLC. As a freshman, Herrmann was named to the Lake Michigan Conference All-Rookie Team and served as team captain during his senior season. During his four seasons with the Warriors, Herrmann appeared in 69 of 76 total matches. He finished second on the team in total shots attempted in three out of the four seasons. He graduated from WLC in December 2003 with a bachelor's degree in art. Herrmann spent his prep years attending Michigan Lutheran High School in St. Joseph, Mich., where he played four years of varsity soccer for the Titans. As a senior at MLHS, Herrmann and was named second team all-state, first team all-conference, all-district and all-region. He scored seven goals in a single match during his senior season, which still ranks tied-for-fourth in the Michigan High School Athletic Association record book. Herrmann finished his senior season with 37 goals, second most in school history. Before taking the helm at Wisconsin Lutheran College, Herrmann spent the past three seasons as the head girls' varsity soccer coach at Wisconsin Lutheran High School. Through three seasons at the controls for the Vikings, he compiled a 34-20 overall record. In 2008, Herrmann guided WLHS to a 15-5 overall record, a school record for wins in a season. The Vikings, who outscored their opponents during the season 51-8, advanced all the way to the Division 2 sectional semifinal. Since 2003, Herrmann has coached numerous boys and girls soccer teams ranging from ages 5-18 at the Milwaukee Sport Club.
