CUW eyes third women's tennis title
WAUKESHA, Wis. -- Concordia University Wisconsin was chosen to win a third straight Northern Athletics Conference women's tennis title, according to the preseason coaches' poll.

The Falcons received 10 of 11 first place votes in the poll for 120 total points. Concordia Wisconsin (11-4, 10-0 NAC) won last year's NAC championship by a 19 point margin over runner-up Edgewood College. Two-time NAC Player of the Year, Erin Henrich (Watertown, Wis.), will look to lead the Falcons to a third title.

Edgewood (11-5, 9-1) was selected to finish second and received the remaining first place vote.

Marian University (9-5, 8-3) was tabbed third, Dominican University (8-5, 7-3) fourth, and Wisconsin Lutheran College (6-8, 6-4) fifth with 78 poll points.

Aurora University (5-8, 5-5) tallied 58 points in the poll for sixth place, Concordia University Chicago (5-7, 4-6) tallied 52 for seventh, and MSOE (4-8, 3-7) had 47 points for eighth.

Benedictine University (2-11, 2-8), Rockford College (1-9, 1-9) and Lakeland College (1-11, 0-10) filled the last three spots in the poll.
