Aurora picked to win third women's golf championship
WAUKESHA, Wis. -- Aurora University was picked to defend the Northern Athletics Conference women's golf title for the third straight year, according to the preseason coaches' poll.

The Spartans received seven of eight first place votes and 61 total points in the poll. Aurora won last year's championship by 52 strokes over runner-up Concordia University Wisconsin, who was selected to finish second.

CUW received the remaining first place vote and tallied 57 poll points.

Wisconsin Lutheran College edged out Marian University for the number three spot in the poll. WLC received 37 points to Marian's 36.

Edgewood College was picked fifth with 34 poll points, and MSOE sixth with 23.

Lakeland College (22 points) and Benedictine University (18 points) were picked in the seventh and eighth spots.
