MSOE
repeats at Northern Athletics Conference Men's Golf Championship The Raiders posted scores of 304 and 313 for a total score of 617 on the Irish Course. The first day score of 304 is a new NAC championship single round record, breaking the previous mark of 311, while the total score of 617 is also a new championship record. Benedictine University shot 311 on both days of the event for a runner-up finish and a 622 total. Aurora University (320-322--642) finished in third place, while Wisconsin Lutheran College (330-325--655) finished fourth. Edgewood College (324-340--664) took the fifth spot, Marian University (342-333--675) sixth, and Lakeland College (338-339--677) seventh. Rockford College (374-382--756) and host Concordia University Wisconsin (400-382--782) filled out the final spots in the championship standings. Benedictine's R.J. Schwalbach, a junior from New Berlin, Wis., claimed medalist honors. Schwalbach shot an even-par-72 on Monday, and was six-over today for a total score of 150. Schwalbach was tied with MSOE's Peter Eich (Libertyville, Ill.), who carded 75 on both days of the championship, after the final 36 holes. Schwalbach won medalist honors in a playoff with Eich. The total championship score of 150 shot by both players, breaks the previous championship mark of 153 shot by Edgewood's Bob Stilling in 2006. Schwalbach's round of 72, also equaled by Wisconsin Lutheran's Daniel Behm (Jackson, Wis.) on day two, broke the previous championship single round record of 74, also set by Stilling in 2006.
