Eifel makes pro debut with Southern Illinois Miners

Ill. -- Dominican University's Mike Eifel (Midlothian, IL) returned
to the mound at Alexian Field in Schaumburg Monday, making his debut
as a professional baseball player with the Southern Illinois Miners,
an independent team in the Frontier League.

wins 2008 NAC Baseball Tournament
ROCKFORD,
Ill. -- Rockford College defeated Concordia Chicago 8-3 to win their
second straight Northern Athletics Conference Tournament
Championship. It was the third matchup between the two schools in
the tournament with the Regents taking two of three.

Concordia Chicago Baseball earns pair of
honors
RIVER FOREST, Ill. --
The Concordia
Chicago baseball team is hoping for great things in May, and the
first day of the month brought with it two good omens for the
program. The team is ranked sixth in the latest NCAA III Central
region rankings, and senior catcher/first baseman J.D. Rotzoll
(Mount Prospect, IL – Prospect H.S.) has been named the Division III
Hitter of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers
