Rowe, Rockford College

Rowe led Rockford’s offense to a 7-0 week, including wins over
Wisconsin Lutheran, Concordia Wisconsin, and Lakeland. On the week
Rowe hit .560, scored 12 runs, and tallied 20 RBI. Of his 13 hits, 4
were doubles and 6 homeruns. He had two multi-homerun games as he
hit two in game one against WLC and three in the second game against
Lakeland on Sunday. Rowe hit the game winning RBI-double against
Concordia Wisconsin on Saturday, and also hit the eventual game
winning solo homerun in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the
Regents a 13-11 lead over Lakeland on Sunday.
Drew Powers, Marian

Powers pitched a complete game shutout on Sunday as the Sabres
defeated Concordia University Wisconsin, 6-0. Powers pitched all
nine innings allowing just six hits and striking out nine. The win
marked his first of the season.

Walker helped the team to a 3-1 week by going 8-for-15 (.533) with
nine runs scored and five RBI. His eight hits included two doubles
and his team-leading sixth homer of the year in Sunday's first game
versus Concordia University Wisconsin. Walker also had five walks,
one HBP, an on-base of .667 and no strikeouts. He also went 3-for-3
in stolen bases for the Cougars (21-10-1, 11-4 NAC).
Nathan Marlowe,
Edgewood College

Marlowe started and pitched the complete game in Edgewood College’s
12-1 (7 inn.) win against Benedictine University where he struck out
5 batters, walked none, gave up only one run (unearned), and 2 hits.
For the week, Marlowe had a 0.96 ERA by pitching 9 1/3 innings for 6
strikeouts, 3 hits, 1 walks, and 1 earned run for the Eagles (22-9,
13-3 NAC).

Fabian Gomez, Rockford College
...6'0...Senior...LHP...Las Cruces, N.M. (Las Cruces)...
Gomez pitched nine scoreless innings for the Regents last week,
including a one-hit shutout against Maranatha last Tuesday (April
10). He pitched two innings against the University of Chicago on
Sunday, retiring all six batters her faced. Gomez faced only 28
batters last week, allowing only one hit, no walks, and struck out
17 batters.

...6'0...Junior...OF...Appleton, Wis. (Fox Valley Lutheran)...
Glasel went a combined 8-for-13 at the plate in four games for a
.615 average while scoring three runs. The junior outfielder's top
performance of the week came in a 9-6 loss to Edgewood College where
he went 3-for-3, scored two runs and was walked twice.

Brockman led the Regent’s offensive attack going 2-for-5 in the 9-3
win against Clarke College last Monday. Brockman tallied a single
and the game winning two-run homer to break a 3-3 tie in the top of
the eighth inning. Brockman’s 3 RBI’s were the most of any Regent
hitter on the day.

Kyle Bergman, Benedictine University
...6'0...Junior...SS...Chicago Ridge, Ill. (Richards)...
Bergman hit 8-for-18 (.444) on the week, including lacing five
doubles as the Eagles split their four games on the week. Bergman
also scored four runs and drove in a pair of runs. His two-run
double in the bottom of the sixth inning versus Aurora University
last Tuesday proved to be the game-winning RBI, while he slapped an
eight inning double and subsequently scored the tying run against
Lakeland College in the Eagles’ eventual 8-7 win on Saturday.
Bergman was 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts on the week, as well.
Cody Flynn, Edgewood College
...6'3...Junior...RHP...Eureka, Cal. (St. Bernard)...
Flynn pitched a complete game, which included an extra inning,
against Dominican University last Saturday. In the 1-0 victory,
Flynn struck out 13 batters, walked 2, hit 2 and allowed 8 hits.

Gomez finished the week 2-0 with wins over Beloit College and
Dominican University. In both appearances, Gomez finished the game
allowing just a single hit. Against Beloit, the junior went seven
innings allowing one hit while striking out four batters. Against
Dominican, Gomez went the full nine innings shutting out the Star’s
on one hit while striking out 18. Gomez retired the first 17
Dominican hitters and struck out the first 6 batters of the game.
His 18 K performance marks the new Rockford College single game
strike out record.

Rowe led the Regents (6-7, 3-1 NAC) in hitting last week batting
.462 (6-for-13) in four games. Rockford split with Beloit College
and swept Dominican University. Rowe belted 3 homeruns and tallied
ten RBI while scoring 7 runs. With hits in each of the four games,
Rowe extended his season long hit streak to nine games.

Will Griswold, Marian College
...6'1...Senior...OF...West Salem, Wis. (West Salem)...
Griswold hit .500 (10-for-20) on the week in Arizona to help the
Sabres go 3-3. He recorded seven RBI, six runs, two doubles, a
triple, and a home run. Griswold also walked three times and was
1-for-1 in stolen bases. His slugging pct was .850 and his on-base
percentage was .565.

March 5-11
Brandon Isaac, Concordia University Chicago
...6'0...Freshman...OF/1B...Matteson, Ill. (Marian Catholic)...
Isaac helped the Cougars to a 5-2 record last week as he hit .448
(13-of-29), scoring 11 runs, driving in 12 and striking out only
twice. His 13 hits included a double and 4 homers (tying him for the
team lead), and his slugging percentage was a robust .897. Isaac was
2-for-2 in stolen bases, and was perfect defensively in 19 chances.
Rick Kohnhorst,
Marian College
...5'11...Freshman...RHP...Merrill, Wis. (Merrill)...
The rookie earned his first victory of the season over Monmouth
College on Sunday night. In Kohnhorst's relief appearance in the
first game of the double-header, he pitched two hitless and
scoreless innings and struck out two. Then, in the nightcap, he
picked up the win in relief. He went 3.2 scoreless innings and
struck three hitters to earn the victory.

In four games last week, the freshman outfielder leads the Regents
in hitting (.700), runs (6), slugging percentage (.900), on-base
percentage (.800) and walks (4). Clay also has a triple and three
RBI in the four game span. The rookie started off his collegiate
career reaching base in his first ten plate appearances and going
6-for-6 before being retired. The Regents (2-2) split with both
Pomona-Pitzer College and Lebanon Valley College in their opening
week of the season.
Bill Dictus,
Edgewood College
...6'0...Junior...RHP...Combined Locks, Wis. (Kimberly)...
In his first start for the season, Dictus (1-0) pitched a four-hit
shutout in Edgewood College's second game against No. 12
UW-Whitewater on March 2. Dictus pitched the entire seven innings,
struck out 2 batters, walked one batter and hit one other. Dictus
was also able to keep the Warhawks scoreless after a bases-loaded
situation in the fourth inning.
