Lindberg scored a game-high 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting and
grabbed 5 rebounds in the Warriors' (15-11, 12-6 NAC) 51-50 loss to
Lakeland College last week in the NAC tournament first round.

Biesterfeld scored 12 points, including a 7-of-8 performance from
the free throw line, to guide the Warriors (15-10, 12-6 NAC) to an
87-81 win over Lakeland College on Tuesday. He also added three
assists and three steals in the victory. On Saturday Biesterfeld
shot 7-of-10 from the floor, poured in a game-high 18 points and had
4 steals on the defensive end in the Warriors' 89-60 win over
Maranatha Baptist.

Leonard led the 15th ranked Spartans (21-2, 14-2 NAC) to a 2-0 week
in the Northern Athletics Conference, averaging 25.0 points, 7.5
rebounds and 4.5 assists per game, while shooting 60.7% (17-of-28)
from the field and 53.8% (7-of-13) from three-point range. In AU's
83-80 overtime win over Dominican University, Leonard tallied a
double-double with 26 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the field and
13 rebounds. In AU's 90-62 victory over Edgewood College, Leonard
was 9-of-13 from the field, good for 24 points and handed out five
assists.

Averkamp started off the week by reaching a milestone of 1,000
career points in Tuesday's 60-57 loss at Marian College. The to cap
off the week Averkamp recorded Edgewood's first known triple-double
in Saturday's 77-76 overtime victory over Dominican University.
Averkamp had 11 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists at the end of
regulation, and finished the game with 15 points, 15 rebounds and 10
assists. The Eagles are 13-6 overall and 11-2 in the Northern
Athletics Conference.

Smith scored a career-high 25 points (9-of-13 FG, 7-of-10 FT) and
pulled down 12 rebounds against Benedictine University last
Wednesday, leading the Cougars to a 72-64 win that snapped a
seven-game skid. Smith was then named to the all-tournament team at
the Concordia Invitational Tournament in Ann Arbor, Michigan for
performances of 18 points and 7 rebounds against Concordia
University-Nebraska, and 19 points and 5 rebounds against Concordia University Wisconsin.

Van Ess scored a game-high 20 points on 7-of-8 shooting, including
3-of-3 from beyond the three point line, in the Sabres' 81-63 road
win over Wisconsin Lutheran College on Thursday. Van Ess also
tallied three rebounds and three assists in the game. He then scored
12 points and grabbed a team-high 6 rebounds as Marian defeated
Lakeland College 71-66 in overtime on Saturday.

DeMarco began last week by scoring a game-high 25 points and had 9
rebounds in a 70-54 win over Concordia University Chicago. Eight of
DeMarco's nine boards came on the offensive end. He was 9-of-14 on
field goal attempts versus the Cougars and also contributed five
assists. DeMarco then scored a game-high 20 points on 7-of-10
shooting to go along with seven rebounds and five assists in the
Eagles' 69-50 win over Rockford College. For the week, DeMarco
averaged 22.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game for the
Eagles (8-5, 6-1 NAC).

Hagel scored 19 points on 6-7 shooting from the floor, including a
school-record 6-6 behind the three-point line to go over 1,000
points in his career as the Warriors (7-5, 4-1 NAC) defeated Caltech
117-57 on Sunday afternoon. He only played 13 minutes in the game.

Lambert helped lead Aurora (8-1, 3-1 NAC) to two non-conference
victories heading into the new year, a 99-71 win over Loras College
and 90-75 over Millikin University. In the Spartans' win over Loras,
Lambert scored a game-high 25 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the
field, including 6-of-10 from beyond the arc (6-of-7 in the second
half). He added five rebounds in the night's effort. On the week,
Lambert averaged 18 points and six rebounds, while shooting 59.1%
(13-22) from the field and 57.1% (8-14) from beyond the arc.

Averkamp scored 23 points and had 19 rebounds, both game highs, as
Edgewood College upset No. 19 Aurora University 68-65 on Saturday.
Averkamp was 8-of-13 shooting (61.5 percent) from the field,
including a pair of three-pointers and 15 of his rebounds came off
the defensive glass against Spartans. Earlier in the week, Averkamp
netted a team-high 12 points, in addition to seven rebounds and four
assists in a loss to seventh-ranked UW-Stevens Point. Averkamp
averaged 17.5 points, 13.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game last
week for the Eagles (3-4, 3-1 NAC).

Welton led the No. 19 Spartans (6-0, 3-0 NAC) to a 2-0 week in the
Northern Athletics Conference, averaging 23.5 points, 7.5 rebounds
and two steals per game, while shooting 63.0% (17-27) from the
field. In AU's 100-91 win over Wisconsin Lutheran, Welton had a
game-high 29 points to go along with eight rebounds, four assists
and three steals. He shot 9-of-15 from the field, 3-of-6 from three
point range and was 8-of-10 from the free throw line. In AU's
victory over Maranatha (110-44), Welton came off the Spartan bench
to score 18 points in 17 minutes and pulled down seven rebounds.

Leonard led the Spartans to a 2-0 week that included a 85-69 defeat
at then No. 14 ranked North Central College and a 101-94 win at
Lakeland College in AU's NAC opener. For the week, he averaged 23.5
points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. He shot 47.6 percent
for the week (10-of-21) and was 27-of-32 from the free throw line
(84.4%). In the win over North Central, Leonard scored a game-high
26 points off the AU bench, while also bringing down seven rebounds
and dishing eight assists. He was 17-of-19 from the free throw line
and four of seven from the field. At Lakeland, he scored 23 points,
grabbed five rebounds with three assists, three steals and was
10-of-13 from the free throw line.

Grube played a solid game in the Muskies' 91-81 loss to UW-La Crosse
last Friday. Grube had team-highs with 17 points and 6 rebounds, as
he shot 5-of-6 form the field, including 2-of-3 from beyond the
three-point arc.

Larry Welton, Aurora University

Welton led the Spartans (2-0) to the Wabash College Tip-Off
Tournament championship, while being named the tourney MVP and to
the All-Tournament team. Welton scored game-highs in both games
racking up 25 points versus Indiana University-South Bend and 23
against Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Welton also averaged
7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 blocks in the two games while
shooting 42.1 percent from the field (16-of-38).
