Crusader women upset No. 2 Mid-America at NCCAA Nationals in OT
LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Maranatha Baptist Bible College women’s basketball team upset No. 2 seeded Mid-America University in the 2007 National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) women’s basketball tournament, 78-67.

The Crusader women were up at halftime 38-26, but MAU made a great run in the second period to tie the game at the end of regulation play. Kristin Kincaid hit a three pointer to send the game into overtime, tied at 67. Maranatha then blanked MAU in overtime to take the game 78-67.

Colleen Goff took top honors for the Crusader women as she racked up yet another double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Amanda Moses was close behind with 16 points and nine rebounds, five assists and one steal. Amber Lang added another 15 points with six rebounds while Nicole Hawkins brought home 12 points, five rebounds and four assists. Kristin Kincaid connected for nine points and 10 rebounds, and Rose Peterson chipped in with six points.

The Crusaders advance to the semi-final game on Friday at 6:00 p.m. against Philadelphia Biblical University.
