Maranatha women advance to Championship game of NCCAA
LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Maranatha Baptist Bible College women’s basketball team advanced to the NCCAA National Championship game by defeating No. 6 seeded Philadelphia Biblical University, 58-54.

After leading 23-14 at the half, Maranatha sustained several runs by PBU in the second period, holding on to a 12 point lead, 49-37, with just five minutes remaining. Two of Maranatha’s starters fouled out in the waning minutes, but the Crusader women held their ground en-route to a 58-54 win.

Maranatha will face the winner of No.1 Kentucky Christian and No.4 Southeastern University in the championship game on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. (EST).
