October 23-29
Jon Unruh, Aurora University
...6'1...Sophomore...Goalkeeper...St. Joseph, Mo. (Central)...
Unruh was stellar in goal for the Spartans (12-3-4, 8-1 NAC) and
helped lead AU to clinch the second place position in the NAC and an
opening round bye in the conference tournament. In two games, Unruh
did not allow a goal in 171:44 minutes. In that time, he had six
saves and had a 2-0 record. Unruh had five saves in AU's 4-0 win
over Maranatha.

On Monday in the Warriors' 5-0 win over North Central College,
Powalisz scored two goals and assisted on two more to lead the
Warriors (7-8-1, 4-3-1 NAC) to the win. Then on Saturday, Powalisz
helped hand the University of Dallas their second loss of the season
as he scored the game's lone goal with one minute remaining in
regulation..

Bruckner scored the first of the Falcons' two goals in a 2-0 shutout
of Maranatha on last Tuesday. Bruckner also scored a pair of two
unassisted goals in 7-0 victory at Marian College on Sunday.

Arnes Rodriguez, Dominican University
...Freshman...Midfielder...Rosemont, Ill. (East Leyden)...
Rodriguez assisted on two goals and scored one of his own as the
Stars (12-1, 6-0 NAC) defeated Concordia University Chicago 9-0 last
Wednesday. The rookie then duplicated his performance on Saturday
versus Lake Forest College with another one goal-two assist
performance in the 4-0 win.

Hall has led the resurgent Eagles (4-4-3, 3-0-1 NAC) to
four-consecutive wins, three of which came this past week over
Maranatha (3-0), Concordia Wisconsin (2-1) and a non-conference win
at MacMurray (3-0). On the week, Hall tallied five goals in which
three were the match-winning goals. Of Hall's 12 shot attempts taken
this past week, 10 were directly on goal and resulted in the 5
scores.

Malo aided the Muskies (1-6, 1-1 NAC) to their first win of the
season last Saturday against Maranatha, assisting on each of the
team's three goals. The three assists ties the school record for
most in a game.

Marshall Reed, Aurora University
...5'11...Junior...Midfielder...Otsego, Mich. (Otsego)...
Reed led the Spartans (5-0-2, 2-0 NAC) to a pair of conference
victories last week scoring three goals and assisting on two others,
including the game-winners in both NAC contests. In Aurora's 2-1
overtime win over Concordia University Wisconsin, Reed tallied the
go-ahead goal with 4:02 left to play in the extra period. In a 7-2
victory over Marian College, Reed tallied two goals and two assists,
including a goal on a penalty kick.

Alex DuGurian, Aurora University
...6'1...Senior...Midfield...Naperville, Ill. (Neuqua Valley)...
DeGurian was named the Most outstanding offensive player at the
Centre College Tournament last weekend. He scored three goals,
including both goals in the Spartans 2-2 double overtime draw with
UW-Whitewater. The Spartans remain undefeated with a 3-0-2 record.

Evan Klees, Edgewood College
...6'7...Junior...Forward...Madison, Wis. (Monticello)...
Klees scored the game-winning goal against Macalester College in
last Saturday's 1-0 home-victory at Breese Stevens Field. Klees'
goal broke the scoreless tie at the 55:31 mark. The Eagles (1-0-1)
tied No. 12 Gustavus Adolphus College, 0-0 in two overtimes, the
previous night.
