EAU CLAIRE,
Wis. -- In a rematch of the opening game of the 2008 NCAA Division
III Softball Championships at the University of Wisconsin-Eau
Claire, the Aurora University Spartans took on the Titans of the
University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in an elimination game on Saturday,
May 10, 2008 at Gelein Field in Eau Claire.

Benedictine's Cappetto adds all-region honor

Benedictine University freshman firstbaseman
Cassie Cappetto (Oak Lawn, Ill./Marist H.S.) has added another honor
to her already burgeoning list of accolades for her first collegiate
season. Cappetto was named to the Second Team All-Great Lakes Region
by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

III softball tournament selection committee announced the seedings
for the 2008 NCAA Division III Championships. The Spartans of Aurora
University will travel to the Eau Claire Regional hosted by
University of Wisconsin Eau Claire in Eau Claire, WI.

Lisa Lovitsch as head softball coach
RIVER FOREST,
Ill. -- Concordia University Chicago is pleased to announce that
Lisa Lovitsch has accepted the position of head coach for softball, effective
January 1, 2008. Lovitsch, currently in her second season as assistant
volleyball coach at Concordia, succeeds Kathy Gebhardt who will continue on as
the head coach for the Cougars' volleyball program.
