October 23-29

Danielle Mikos, Benedictine University

Mikos helped the Eagles (20-11, 9-2 NAC) to a 5-1 record last week, clinching the No. 2 seed in the NAC tournament, including a first round bye. For the week she averaged 3.26 kills per game, 0.95 blocks per game and a .397 attack percentage. Mikos recorded double-digit kill totals in every match, and added seven digs and three aces on the week.

October 16-22

Sarah Campbell, Aurora University
...5'7...Senior...Outside Hitter...Lake Villa, Ill. (Grayslake)...
Campbell led the Spartans to a 3-0 week and the NAC regular season championship, the first conference championship for the Spartan volleyball team since 1996 (Northern Illinois-Iowa Conference). In AU's 3-2 victory over Rockford, Campbell willed the Spartans (16-11, 11-0 NAC) to victory with an outstanding performance of 29 kills, 22 digs and one serving ace. On the week, she averaged 5.00 kills per game/18.33 per match (55 total) for a .349 kill percentage and 3.82 digs per game/14 per match (42 total). Campbell also had four blocks and three serving aces on the week.

Brittanie Paulus, Lakeland College

Paulus was named to the All-Tournament team for her efforts at the Southwestern Tournament in Georgetown, Texas this past weekend. Paulus averaged 9.2 kills per game and 16.2 digs per game for the week and recorded team-highs in kills with 12 in the squad's win over Hardin-Simmons and digs on two occasions with 19 in a loss to Ohio Northern and 18 in a loss to Southwestern University.

October 2-8

Anka Niemczewska, Dominican University
...Freshman...Setter/Outside Hitter...Vernon Hills, Ill. (Vernon Hills)...
Niemczewska recorded the first triple-double at Dominican University in over three years tallying 17 kills, 17 assists and 16 digs in a 3-1 loss to Alverno last Wednesday. The rookie then just missed her second triple-double by one dig on Friday versus Wisconsin Lutheran College, as she recorded 10 kills, 16 assists and 9 digs in the 3-0 loss. For the week she totaled 27 kills on 65 attempts, 33 assists, 25 digs, 3 blocks and two aces.

September 25 - October 1

Angela Snow, Rockford College
...6'1...Junior...Middle Blocker...Oregon, Ill. (Oregon)...
Rockford's 1-1 week was spurred by junior Angela Snow's efforts. In the two matches, Angela recorded 24 kills on 60 chances, adding 3 blocks and 3 block assists. In Friday's 3-0 win over Knox College, Angela was nearly perfect notching 14 kill on 23 total attacks, while recording 3 solo blocks.

September 18-24

Kim Bond, Maranatha Baptist Bible College
...5'4...Senior...Outside Hitter...Watertown, Wis. (Maranatha Baptist Academy)...
Bond accumulated 29 kills, 75 digs and 2 blocks in the Crusaders two matches last week. Bond had 13 kills in 33 attempts in the 3-1 conference victory over Alverno College. Bond tallied her other 16 kills in the Crusaders' (11-5, 2-0 NAC) 3-1 loss to Ripon College in the non-conference match.

September 11-17

Angela Vitto, Benedictine University
...5'5...Junior...Setter...Muskegon, Mich. (Oakridge)...
Vitto was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Dominican University Invitational, helping the Eagles (8-4, 1-0 NAC) to a 3-1 record at the tournament. In four matches, Vitto averaged 10.8 assists per game, and a .332 success rate on set assist attempts and averaged 2.8 digs per game. She also tallied seven services aces versus Grinnell College.

September 4-10

Katrina Kramer, Concordia University Chicago
...5'10...Senior...Middle Hitter...Green Bay, Wis. (NEW Lutheran)...
Kramer tallied 44 kills, 10 errors and 97 attempts over five matches (16 games) for a KP of .351. Her best match was a 12-kill effort (.550) in a win over North Park University. Kramer added 21 total blocks (10-11) including three solo and five assists, also in the win over North Park. She was named to the all-tournament team as the Cougars went 3-0 on Saturday to win the Concordia Quad.

August 31 - September 3

Jessica Sparling, Lakeland College
...5'10...Sophomore...Setter...Addison, Ill. (Addison Trail)...
Sparling put up a total of 192 assists, averaging 12 per game, as the Muskies cruised to a 4-0 record at the Ripon College Tournament this past weekend. Sparling put up a weekend-best 63 assists against Ripon with an average of 15.75 assists per game. The sophomore also recorded 11 aces on the weekend, including 5 against MSOE in a 3-game match. For her efforts, Sparling was named to the All-Tournament team.
